New self-hosted Faircamp music shop now online

In light of Bandcamp’s uncertain future and the new ownership’s labor practices, I have decided to go back to self-hosting my music. The new shop is online at faircamp.fstateaudio.com, and contains all releases from Skin Contact, Fugue State, and BBBG.

The Bandcamp pages will also be left up for now, but use of the new Faircamp shop is highly encouraged (and as a bonus, uses a “soft” paywall, making all downloads PWYW/donationware).

Relaxation Techniques II

Volume II of the Relaxation Techniques series is out!

This is essentially a “best of” collection from the “live-in-the-studio” Noise Therapy Sessions that have been released every 2 weeks on my video channels, but these are re-tweaked and re-recorded versions. This collection is from the first year and a half or so of the latest run.

First release from new project Redkap (split w/Bergstresser)

I wasn’t necessarily planning on releasing anything from this project just yet, but Nicholus from Bergstresser/Completely Gone Recordings made the offer, and of course I couldn’t resist. Redkap is what I’ve decided on as a name for my recent doomy industrial metal meanderings. I have a bunch of stuff recorded, but it’s been sitting on the back burner for various reasons.

I’m really excited to be doing the first Redkap release with CGR, and doubly so to be doing it on a split with Bergstressor!

I had also rather quietly posted a track called “Bloom” to Soundcloud a while back, might as well post that here too:

First release from new project BBBG

Over the course of 2022, I had some fun messing around with fractal music generators and other generative toys, and I’ve decided to release the results under a new project name. Some of these tracks were originally going to be part of a new Fugue State album, but I ended up getting really into it and soon had enough to fill an album. Since I could see myself doing more of this kind of thing in the future, I decided to call it something else as well, rather than having a bunch of oddball semi-themed releases under an existing project.

This album is available as a pay-what-you-want download from Bandcamp.
